Want to amaze your family & friends with how smart your dog is? Yes, most dog can give “paw”, but there is so much more they can do. This is the most fun you will ever have with your dog! Teaching dog tricks is one of the greatest joys of having a canine companion in your life. Dog trick training is the best way I found to truly interact with my dogs and it is a sure fire way to forge a strong bond together. Teaching and performing dog tricks helps to build happy, confident dogs and is a great outlet for all of their energy.

Introduction To Canine Nosework
(Urban Hunting)Canine Nosework is the next urban sport for dogs...Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt. The sport of Canine Nosework is designed to develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It’s a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy. The greatest thing about doing Canine Nosework is how easy it is and portable it can be. Your dog’s nose goes everywhere and the world is an adventure. Like other sports offered at Paw Law, you can do this just to have fun with your dog or there are competition venues available.

Weight Pulling
What is weight pulling you ask? K-9 weight pull can be just for fun, but it is a competitive sport available to ANY breed of dog (from the little Papillion to the mighty Mastiff) in which determination is rewarded. The art of pulling with dogs is not a new one as man has asked canines to pull carts, sleds and wagons for centuries. It was formally introduced in the United States during the 1970's. People have many misconceptions about weight pulling and think it is harmful to the dog. On the contrary, when proper training is applied a dog will have better physical fitness and more fun, and it definitely increases a dog's stamina. Instructor Carey Green of Green Valley Dog Drivers will teach your dog from A to Z. Train indoors year round. IWPA competitions starting in fall 2011.

Class fee for each 6-week session is $110.00
Therapy Dog Training
This class prepares the handler and their dog for involvement in animal-assisted therapy programs. Most therapy dogs are personal pets that accompany their owners to various facilities such as hospitals, rehab centers or nursing homes. The skills taught in this class will include working around medical equipment, loud noises, food, toys and other distractions. This class is for dogs who have had basic obedience training and who have earned their CGC. Therapy dogs are trained to be very controlled due to the expensive monitoring equipment and the potentially fragile people that exist within a therapy setting. We realize that every dog that enters a therapy setting makes a long-lasting impression on every person it meets! Your canine companion can be a Therapy Dog too!
